The forthcoming issue of the Comes With A Smile fanzine will contain an interview with Stuart (or "stuart A. staples", as seems to be the official spelling now), as well as a song off his forthcoming album called "Say Something Now". This will be issue #18 and it can be ordered via the CWAS site, it's due out June 3rd.

The current issue of the French music magazine Les Inrockuptibles contains a short interview with Stuart Staples about his forthcoming solo album. According to this, the idea of a solo album took shape after the last proper Tindersticks album, Waiting for the Moon. Stuart wanted to get away from the very lyrical and clean atmosphere of this album, to explore uneasiness and a certain kind of ugliness. According to the article, the record features Yann Tiersen, who is playing the piano on one of the tracks.

On the website of the french radio station France Inter, you can now listen to Bernard Lenoir's "white session" from May 2nd and broadcast May 9th. Lenoir played two songs from Stuart Staples' upcoming solo album: 'Summerset House' (excerpt) and 'People Fall Down' (full song). Here's the link:
